CAiSE 2018

The 30th International Conference on Advanced Information Systems Engineering was hosted in Tallinn, Estonia whereby it continued its tradition as the premiere venue for innovative and rigorous research across the whole spectrum of Information Systems Engineering. This years theme was Information Systems in The Big Data ERA, aimed at acknowledging disruptions that occur due to the abundance of Big Data sources about government and business services and their users and customers. Exploring New Directions in Traceability Link Recovery in Models: The Process Models Case by Raúl Lapeña, Jaime Font, Carlos Cetina from the Universidad San Jorge and Oscar Pastor from Universitat Politècnica de Valencia was the paper published by partners Universidad San Jorge at this years event.

ICSE 2018

On May 27th – 3rd June, the 40th Internal Conference of Software Engineering (ICSE) took place in Gothenburg, Sweden whereby it invited all researchers, practitioners and educators to their premier software engineering conference to present current innovations, research, experiences and on goings. The university of Hildesheim contributed a paper, in which they presented KernelHaven – An experimental Workbench for Analysing Software Product Lines. KernellHaven provides configuration-based definitions of experiments, their documentation, and technical services, hence, researchers can abstract from technical details and focus on the algorithmic core of their research problem. It also supports different types of analyses, like correctness checks, metrics, etc., in its specific domain. The concepts presented in this paper can also be transferred to support researchers of other software engineering domains.

REVaMP2

Next semestral plenary for the European project REVaMPwill be celebrated in Madrid from January 30 - February 1, 2018. The day before the plenary, January 29, a use case workshop is organized and the day after, February 2, there will be a OSLC workshop.

The project started in November 2016 and will end in December 2019. REVaMPaims to conceive, develop and evaluate the first comprehensive automation tool-chain and associated executable process to support round-trip enbineering of Software-Intensive Systems and Services (SIS) Product Lines (PL) and thereby help to profitably engineer mass customised products and services in virtually any economic sector.

SPLC 2018

10-14 September the 22nd International Systems and Software Product Line Conference (SPLC 2018) will be organized in Gothenburg, Sweden. The Systems and Software Product Line Conference (SPLC) is a premier forum where researchers, practitioners, and educators can present and discuss the most recent ideas, trends, experiences, and challenges in the area of software and system product lines engineering. Conference events include opportunities to hear industry leaders’ real-world experiences and researchers’ latest ideas, and to learn from both.

ER 2017

In 2017, ER was held in November 6th-9th in Valencia, Spain. ER 2017 is the most important event on Conceptual Modelling for Information Systems and Software Engineering and included sets of activities on analysing how current Information Systems and Software Engineering practice could benefit from the use of Conceptual Modelling. Universidad San Jorge was an involved partner who had a publication at the event titled: Ontological Evolutionary Encoding to Bridge Machine Learning and Conceptual Models: Approach and Industrial Evaluation, which was written by Ana Cristina Marcén, Francisca Pérez and Carlos Cetina.
